I was born to be a designer. I recognized my passion for design very early on in my childhood, but it was my mother’s unbelievable work ethic, style, and grace that molded me into successful woman I am today. Without the support of my family whose love pushed me to follow my dreams, I wouldn’t be in the positionI am today. Here is the story of my life.

Our children’s room have touched people from different countries, especially our kids aviation room. It was featured on 2014-2015 top 50 list of most viewed rooms on Pinterest, and it is also currently one of the most searched rooms on Houzz. We truly enjoy designing our children’s room and we are so proud to seepositive responses from around the world

Some of my best creations come after 9 pm when I’m drinking my green tea. I’m fortunate that the Dahlia Design signature is well known in the interior design industry that when I walk into a showroom they know exactly what I want. Thank you to D.C. Throughout my career, the main question I am asked during interviews is, “What is your proudest achievement?” I always have trouble answering this question because I consider every project I’ve worked on a major achievement. All my work is so meaningful to me because I invest a lot of energy to invoke a special and unique Dahlia Design signature creation. As all of my projects have significance to me, the one that is my proudest achievement was designing my first museum for King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in Fairfax, VA. This project is so important to me because it was an enormous responsibility to bring the spirit of a visionary leader to life. I was truly honored to have been entrusted with the task of representing the King’s legacy in such a large scale visual exposition. I was given four weeks to complete the design, but I was so inspired that I had it fully mapped out in my mind in two days. We used a variety of advanced technological mediums including the latest indoor mist dispersion technology. I hope this project will be the bedrock of in my career as an interior designer.

Get the Glamorous Details of Charrisse’s Champagne Room

Charrisse Jackson Jordan gives us the low-down on her custom-made 150 bottle champagne room, and inspiration behind it.
On April Fool’s Day, interior designer Dahlia Mahmood received a call she thought was a mere prank from Real Housewife of Potomac, Charrisse Jackson Jordan. Charrisse requested for Dahlia to create a completely custom-made room within an unrealistic time period. The room would embody everything Charrisse loves: glamour, sophistication, and of course, champagne! It took Dahlia a moment to realize Charrisse wasn’t kidding; this Housewife wanted a lavish champagne room, and that is exactly what Dahlia would deliver.
In the midst of marriage struggles, Charrisse said it was time to make a change in her life. “All my life I have always put everyone else’s needs before my own,” the Real Housewife told Bravotv.com. “The separation from my husband was a turning point in my life. I knew wholeheartedly I was not going to allow my situation define me in a negative way.” Instead, this housewife turned lemons into lemonade – or rather into champagne!
Charrisse lays out the details of her new champagne room:
The Walls
“All the luxe fabrics and wallpaper are in champagne and off-white tones from the latest collection from The Romo Group. The wallpaper behind the wall unit is real Mother of Pearl from the legendary wallpaper artist collection Maya Romanoff.”

“The light fixture is custom cascading strands of pearls and Swarovski crystals to mimic champagne bubbles.”
The Art
“Dahlia and her artist created custom artwork of a champagne bottle bursting with bubbles spelling my name. I had expressed to Dahlia it has always been my dream to create a champagne line, and she wanted to create the artwork so that every time I see it, it would remind me to follow my dreams.”

“In the custom champagne cooler, I store 150 of my finest champagne bottles at 47 degrees Fahrenheit.”
